Hong Changqi hit by dune, protective dimension replaced by bruises “in the icing”

In his first at-bat in the bottom of the first inning, Hong was hit in the left leg by a fastball from NC starter Eric Peddie. He then moved to first base and played the outfield, and also pinch-hit in the bottom of the second inning before being replaced by Lee Joo-hyung with two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

An LG team official said, “Hong Chang-ki was substituted for player protection and injury prevention due to a bruise on his left long arm caused by a sand dune in the first inning. He is currently undergoing icing treatment.”
