Bank of Hope LPGA Match Play quarter-finalists confirmed
Fazari Anannarukarn (THAIL), Lynn Grant (SWE), Ayaka Furue (JPN) and Riona McGuire (IRL) advanced to the quarter-finals of the Bank of Hope Match Play ($1.5 million) on the Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour with straight-set victories on Monday (28 August) at Shadow Creek (Par 72, 6804 yards) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Fazari Ananarukan (World No. 97) was the first to book her place in the last four, winning by three shots with two holes remaining against Spain’s Carlota Zimda (World No. 32).
Fazari Ananarukan is a one-time winner of the ISPS Handa World Invitational in 2021, but in terms of world rankings, he is a player who has fallen behind the times. The pair were tied at two apiece after the first nine holes, but it was the 11th hole that set the scene for the final round.메이저사이트
First, Timea birdied the 11th to set the tone, but Ananarukan won four holes in a row from the 12th to the 15th to close out the match.
Sweden’s Lynn Grant will face Anunnarukan in the quarter-finals after winning by three holes with one hole remaining against Alban Valenzuela (SUI). Valenzuela kept her opponent on her toes throughout the match, but never led after the fourth hole.
The quarter-final between Ayaka Furue (JPN) and Celine Boutier (FRA) came down to the wire, with Ayaka clinching victory by two shots with one hole remaining.
Ireland’s Riona McGuire won her match against Lindsey Weaver Wright (USA) by three holes with two to play and will face Japan’s Ayaka Furue in the quarter-finals.
Replays of day four of the Bank of Hope Matchplay are available now on JTBC Golf, with the quarter-finals starting at 2.15am on the 29th and the final live from 7.30am.
