Foreign ace Casey Kelly was pulled after the second inning. After scoring four runs in the top of the first inning, they gave up five runs in the bottom of the first inning, but they never lost the momentum and won the game. The LG Twins, who were on the verge of a three-game sweep, won 13-7 against the Hanwha Eagles at Daejeon Baseball Stadium on Nov. 11.

LG, which is aiming for a championship this season, had won just one game (1-1) in its previous eight. They were swept by the NC Dinos in a three-game series last weekend. They finished a three-game series against the Kiwoom Heroes midweek with a 1-1 draw, and dropped the first two games of a three-game weekend series against Hanwha. There were alarm bells ringing here and there.스포츠토토

The team batted 2-for-9 during that stretch. That’s well below the team’s season average of 2.778. LG’s batting lineup, which had led the team in batting average all season, crashed.

However, when pushed to the brink, it changed.

In the top of the first inning, they pounded Hanwha starter Jang Min-jae. Later in the inning, a fielding error led to a big inning. Shin Min-jae, the No. 2 hitter whom coach Yoon Kyung-yeop identified as a “key player” before the game, hit the glove of Hanwha third baseman Noh Si-hwan and ran into his crotch. No. 3 Kim Hyun-soo followed with a single to center, and No. 4 Austin Dean followed with a single to right.

In the bottom of the inning, the Hanwha bats fought back. Leadoff hitter Lee Jin-young drew a walk after a back-and-forth battle with Kelly that lasted eight pitches. Kim Tae-yeon followed with a single to left, and Noh Si-hwan followed with a double to left-center to bring both runners home.

Two runs with one out. Kelly was rocked. She walked Chae Eun-sung to load the bases, and Kim In-hwan singled to right. She then gave up a push single to Jung Eun-won.

The Hanwha bats continued to push forward. Moon Hyun-bin singled to tie the game and Park Sang-un followed with a sacrifice fly to make it 5-4.

It worked.

In the top of the second inning, another reversal awaited. The LG bats pounded the Hanwha relievers who came up after Jang Min-jae’s walk. Two batters later, a walk loaded the bases. Park Dong-won hit a two-run double to right off left-hander Kim Ki-jung.

Moon Bo-kyung followed with a grand slam to left. He hit his first career grand slam off Han Seung-hyuk. With three hits in her first at-bat, Moon now had seven hits in two at-bats. 10-5. A quick turnaround

Leading 10-7, Korea added two runs in the top of the seventh inning. Kim Hyun-soo singled and Park Dong-won laid down a sacrifice bunt. Kim Hyun-soo, who has been in a severe hitting slump lately, had a great game with three hits, two RBIs, and two runs scored. This could be the start of a rebound for Hanwha.

LG starter Kelly avoided a loss after giving up six runs in 1⅔ innings. It was his shortest outing in five years. It was a nightmare for Hanwha.

After starter Jang Min-jae was replaced after giving up four runs in the first inning, Hanwha’s mound collapsed. He gave up four runs on 13 hits and four walks. They were looking for their first three-game sweep of the season, but it came up empty. Both teams totaled 22 four-pitchers on the day.
