Zerso (32, Incheon United) turned Spain’s prestigious Atletico Madrid upside down. He was the most outstanding presence on the pitch.

Team K-League won a 3-2 come-from-behind victory against Atletico at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 27th in a friendly match in the 2023 Coupang Play Series. Team K-League, who conceded 12 minutes into the game, equalized with Anton’s goal in the 5th minute of the second half. They conceded another goal in the 40th minute of the second half, but scored two goals in the remaining time to win.

Zerso was the number one contributor to the victory. From the beginning of the first half, Atlético launched an onslaught, but Team K-League goalkeeper Lee Chang-geun put on a save show and only conceded one goal. If Lee Chang-geun showed off his ability to save against a world-class team in the 45 minutes of the first half, the protagonist of the second half was definitely Jerso.

Introduced in the second half, Zerso showed off his strong dribbling ability without hesitation. Dubbed ‘the best crack in the K-League’, he announced that his dribbling worked against Atletico. In the 44th minute of the second half, Zerso induced an opponent’s foul with a dribble and won a penalty kick. In extra time in the second half when the score was 2-2, he also assisted Lee Soon-min’s goal.

Zerso, whom we met in the Mixed Zone after the game, laughed, saying, “I was able to enjoy it because there were a lot of fans.” It’s a bit tiring because it’s an event match in the middle of the league, but “It’s a big help to be able to rest for a few days after it’s over. (Compared to last year) this year’s schedule was much better,” he said.

It was a game that proved that Gerso’s dribbling works in Spain as well. He expressed his pride, saying, “You have to try (the Spanish stage) to know, but the K-League is also a tough stage.”

It was practically a perfect performance. Zerso said, “I want people to give me 10 points.” I was able to do well because I was able to rest for a few days before the game.”

Zerso is now going back to Incheon. He said, “I think (colleagues) will say that I did well. If you give the team K-League jersey to the club, I hope the club will give it to the fans.”바카라

Jerso, who entered the K-League by joining Jeju United in February 2021, was the K-League annual salary king (1.7 billion won) last year. He is showing off his crack side by moving the enemy to Incheon this season.
